Ballinger Memorial Hospital was founded at its current location in Ballinger, Texas on January 1, 1963. The hospital has a service area of 635 square miles and serves over 8500 citizens. The hospital became a taxing district on January 31, 1990. Ballinger Memorial Hospital District became a Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds in August of 2000. In 2005, the District attained the Ballinger Hospital Clinic and in March of 2012 the District continued its growth by acquiring Keel Drug Pharmacy. Ballinger Memorial Hospital District offers numerous outpatient services, acute and swing bed care, and is certified as a level IV trauma ER. Our outpatient services include physical therapy, wound care, clinic services, ambulance service, and a wellness center as well as outpatient lab services and radiology services. Ballinger Memorial Hospital District is one of the larger employers in the area with over 100 full and part time employees. The purpose of Ballinger Memorial Hospital District is to serve as a hospital for the care of persons suffering from any illness or disability which requires patient care. The District carries on educational activities related to rendering care to the sick and injured. Ballinger Memorial Hospital District participates in and promotes activities that encourage wellness in our community.
