IT TECH

Full Time Position. Acts as support for hospital and clinic information technology/systems and activities. The Technical Support Representative utilizes and operates computers, the information system, data entry, and related electronic data processing equipment, as well as has knowledge of general principles of computer system operations. The Tech is responsible for daily technical duties, managing work orders, maintaining the hospital and clinic camera and phone systems, and manages patch management and network support. The Tech monitors and manages image deployment, MDM/Inventory, the backup system, and Kaspersky updates/security center/antivirus. Must be available for call after hours and weekends. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. One to two years of computer experience and experience in hospital or clinic setting preferred.

FOOD SERVICE WORKER / COOK

Full Time Position. Prepares nutritional food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors. Suggests menu items and assists in the requisition of food stuffs and supplies. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment. Helps maintain the cleanliness of utensils and equipment in the kitchen and service area. Maintains confidentiality while working with confidential matters. One year of previous institutional food preparation preferred.

REFERRAL COORDINATOR - CLINIC

Full Time Position. Coordinates the referral/precertification processes to ensure all patient orders are followed through. Able to access and maneuver within the EMR. Possess strong critical thinking skills to easily adapt and learn how to access third party websites for approvals. Holds advanced knowledge and independent judgement in fulfilling the job responsibilities. This position also requires registration coverage. All job duties apply across the District. Minimum of two years of healthcare experience REQUIRED.

CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (CPhT)

Full Time and Part Time Positions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) fills prescription orders, assists with monitoring drug therapy and control of narcotics and controlled substances, assists in stocking and dispensing of pharmaceuticals, and assists in maintaining records of pharmacy operations. Must possess ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions. Requires high school graduate or equivalent and current CPhT with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. One year of experience working in a pharmacy preferred.

CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (COTA)

Full Time/Part Time/PRN. Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist (OT), the Certified Occupation Therapist Assistant (COTA) will follow the treatment plan developed by the OT. The COTA will teach techniques to patients with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments for rehabilitation purposes. The COTA will monitor activities to make sure they are performed correctly and provide encouragement. Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Must be certified by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy and have passed the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant National Exam. Must maintain an active Texas certification by completing the required number of hours of continuing education biennially. BLS required. New grads considered.

INFORMATICIST

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - CLINIC

Full Time Position. The Administrative Assistant assists the Clinic Director in day-to-day functions of the rapid paced clinic environment. The Administrative Assistant provides excellent customer service to patients, district employees, providers and others that have relationships with the district at all times. The Administrative Assistant will assist in multiple areas of the clinic and provide back-up coverage when necessary. This will include clinical and non-clinical areas. The Administrative Assistant possess strong critical thinking skills, fair and ethical judgement skills, easily adapts to change, and has the desire to continuously learn. High School graduate or equivalent is required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office required.

PARAMEDIC

Full Time Position. Answers emergency calls and makes patient transfers. Administers emergency care to patients in emergency situations providing maximum patient comfort. Relays pertinent information to dispatcher concerning patient condition and maintains necessary patient records of ambulance service. Maintains vehicle and equipment in optimum condition. Requires high school graduate or higher, current certification by the Department of State Health Services as an Emergency Medical Technician, current BLS, BTLS, or PHTLS preferred. PPPC preferred, current Texas Driver’s License. Prefer one year experience in an emergency medical environment. Requires effective oral and written communications skills. Must be familiar with operation of emergency medical vehicles and equipment and possess ability to adhere to hospital, local and state guidelines in delivery of emergency care.
